2018 Prophetic Word for the Broken-Hearted
God is moving in the hearts of those believers who will trust Him to heal their desolate places. He is calling believers to be truthful, for the Lord desires truth in the inward parts. He requires honesty in order to heal the Broken-Hearted. Integrity is a prized possession and not everyone attains it. God is calling everyone to be open and honest with him about deep-seated pain that we have carried for years. Negative coping mechanisms only serve to numb and prolong emotional pain. The Lord is calling us to shed our graveclothes so we can allow the Holy Spirit to cleanse the inside.
For those who are ready to give up their old ways of surviving, the Lord is ready to bless you with a brand new life, for those who will dare to truly live with power, passion and conviction.

How To Cast Out Your Fear! Part 3
Victor Torres, author of “Perfect Love Casts Out All Fear,” speaks on video on how to cast out your fears. He addresses the importance of learning how to manage your emotions before they manage you. He stresses the significance of facing your emotional pain rather than stuffing your hurts so you can live a healthy, vibrant life.
Psalm 51:6 declares, “Behold, You (God) desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will will make me to know wisdom.” A wise man or woman choose to live a life of integrity that is pleasing to God. You are called to take off your graveclothes and shed the negative coping mechanisms that you grew up with so you can live an abundant life.
Your childish ways of leaning on negative defense mechanisms such as denial, rationalizing and manipulating must become part of your past because they only serve to postpone your pain to a more opportune time. Unfortunately, the longer you stuff your pain, the more magnified your hurt becomes over time and the more difficult it is to face in the future.
You must ask Jesus to help you abandon your former ways of surviving and wandering in an emotional graveyard so you can courageously face your past and leave behind your fearful, burial clothes that have only served to enslave you. You have been called to live in a new resurrected state because the Holy Spirit came to reside in you since you gave your life to Christ. Ask the Lord to give you courage so you can receive your emotional healing and inherit the promises of God that rightly belong to you! God bless you, my friends!

Overcoming the Many Faces of Fear
Fear takes on many sizes and shapes in our lives. It is an intruder and comes from the dark side. It is essential that we learn to identify the many faces of fear so that we can quickly put it to flight before it takes residence in our hearts and destroys us from within. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares that “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” We are not to cohabitate with the enemy of our souls but take authority over this demonic stronghold.
We are called to be vessels of honor and glory. That means that we should not provide a permanent residence for intruders such as guilt, shame, false pride, rebellion and lack of trust in God. The Lord has promised to heal us and it is our responsibility to receive this gift with gladness and not allow fear to keep us from embracing what the Holy Spirit has bestowed to us.
Listen to what Jesus reveals in Luke 4:18-19 NKJV as he quotes Isaiah 61: 1-3:
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
This is your inheritance. Embrace it, my friends, because healing and freedom belongs to you!

How To Cast Out Your Fear
Click on the link above and watch this short video
Too many people are bound by fear and it prevents them from fulfilling their divine destiny. Fear often dictates our decision-making and this should not be the case. We need to be motivated by God’s perfect love because it casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Our walk with Christ is a process and we are transformed day by day as long as we aspire to draw closer to the Lord as a lifestyle. We go from strength to strength and glory to glory (Psalm 84:7).
It is vital that we surrender all fear to God because fear does not originate from Him but from the enemy of our soul. The Lord is faithful to cast out all fear that would dare to rob us of our peace, joy and contentment. Let us find refuge in Christ and give Him permission to perfect us as He so desires. Jesus is the Master Surgeon and knows exactly how to operate on our hurting heart.
God bless you, my friends, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Respectfully,
Victor Torres :-)

Perfect Love Casts Out All Fear
People in life are plagued with fear and many are helpless when it comes to knowing how to overcome it. I have met too many men and women who still carry deep scars from their childhood, their former marriages and previous dating relationships. We have a lot of deeply hurting people within the Body of Christ and they need to realize that the pain that they carry will not go away over time in and of itself. Each person has to come before God daily and contend for his or her emotional and physical well-being. Healing will only come when you seek it, when you are willing to face the pain that has terrorized and plagued you for years, when you acknowledge and repent of the mistakes you have made, forgive the people that have abused or neglected you and those who invaded your boundaries who had no permission to violate you.
You have to be willing to fully surrender to Jesus and allow Him to walk you through the valley of the shadow of death until there is no longer any pain associated with the memory of your hurtful event. But this is where many people fall short. Most Christians I know are not fully surrendered to Jesus because they don’t trust Him with their broken hearts. They would rather exist in their shattered states because they are afraid to face their pain. As a result, they displace and project their pain on the innocent who had nothing to do with their present, painful state.
We all suffer one way or another when we have brothers and sisters who refuse to assume responsibility for their hidden pain. Fear prevents them from repenting and it is a poor choice that people make when they allow fear to keep them in bondage and create strongholds that they can’t seem to break out of. This is diametrically opposed to what the Bible reveals in 2 Timothy 17, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
It’s time for the Body of Christ to come face-to-face with their hidden pain and secret sins, stop playing mind-games, fully surrender to Christ, receive their healing and get on with taking up the mantle to fulfill the Great Commission. Some Christians will be able to work through their hurts with the help of the Holy Spirit alone. Others will need to go through Christian Counseling or a deliverance minister. But one thing is for sure: not until you admit that you have a problem and that it is negatively affecting those around you, nothing will change and Satan will continue to wreak havoc on your emotions, thought life and quality of life.
What good does it do to say that Jesus is your Lord and Savior when you don’t live like that? I would say that most people who have professed Christ can say that He is their Savior, but very few, perhaps less than 1% of the Body of Christ, can say that Jesus is their Lord because they have never fully surrendered to Christ and given Him everything. I’m referring to your broken and damaged heart, your scarred mind, your broken dreams, your failed relationships, lost financial opportunities and permission to allow the Lord to walk you through your painful past, present and trust Him with your future.
Quite frankly, it’s time to get real with Jesus. You are not getting any younger as your days are numbered. How many more years will you waste wandering through the desert of despair because fear prevents you from facing your pain? Sadly, many people will die in the desert, in the wasteland of emotional despair without ever having walked in, let alone looked on the Promised Land that longs to be discovered within the recesses of one’s heart.
Choose wisely, my friends, and ask God to give you the courage to face whatever hidden pain needs to be brought to the surface, lest you die a death that reveals your legacy was filled with emptiness, loneliness, deep despair, fear and no witness for Christ because you failed to be an overcomer. This is not God’s will for your life.
The Lord has called you to be a champion, a conqueror, an overcomer and you are to be used as a conduit to lead people to the Promised Land. But, if you can’t even enter into the Promised Land yourself, what can you offer the world? I hope this causes people to search deeply within the hurtful crevices of their hearts and minds so they can seek help. The clock is ticking and it is your life that literally hangs in the balance. What are you going to do about it? (Parts of this article are from one of my books, “Perfect Love Casts Out All Fear: Preparing the Bride of Christ for Jesus’ Return,” available on Armed4Battle.com and Amazon.com by Victor Torres)

Marriage by Divine Appointment!
Please enter facebook post url.
Please enter facebook post url.
As you continue to seek the Lord, God will give you a divine appointment with the special someone who He has chosen especially for you! You will be like-minded and have a mutual passion for God. That special lady will notice the special talents that the Lord has given you to be used for His glory, and she will not pass you by because she will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading. She will see your heart for God, how much you care about others and in advancing the kingdom for the Lord’s glory.
She will see you as a rare jewel, a special gem that is not to be passed up and will look past your shortcomings, knowing that she has some as well. She will see greatness in you that perhaps others don’t see that has been refined by the fire of adversity and you will see the same in her. And you will not have to go out of your way to impress her because the Lord will give her the means to look deeply into your heart and see the beauty and strength that Jesus placed within you through much testing and refining. And, might you ask, how this will happen? By divine appointment!
But you must persevere and not give up hope, knowing that God will give you the desires of your heart that He placed in there (Psalm 37:4) and the work that He has begun He will bring to completion (Philippians 1:6). “No good thing will He (God) withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).

A Prince or a Pauper?
Many people enter life maimed or abused since they can remember. It’s as if the world is against them and that especially includes one’s family of upbringing. We don’t have a choice as to our family of origin. No family is perfect and some families are healthier than others. We must take the good with the bad, learn to adapt, survive, learn from our experiences and forgive those who hurt us along the way.
Clearly, our faith help us to weather the many storms that aim to derail us, but for many people, they don’t find faith until later in life, especially if they were not raised in a religious home. Life is often a struggle to find peace within ourselves and that peace does not come until we make a commitment to live for the Lord wholeheartedly so we can move from merely surviving to thriving and accomplish all that God has called us to be. Our manner of thinking will often determine how far we will go in life, how much we will accomplish and how healthy we will live.
The following is an excerpt from Victor’s first book, Armed for Battle and Destined for Glory! It is available through his website, Armed4Battle.com and Amazon.com. His manuscript won two international awards from the Global E-Book Awards as it was a finalist for “Best Autobiography” and “Best Christian E-Book–Non-Fiction.” Enjoy!
“A Prince or a Pauper”

How many of you were raised with no purpose in living
In a world that’s lost, dying and unforgiving?
Who told you that your thoughts and feelings didn’t matter?
Whose words cut you to pieces and left you bruised and battered?
Who brainwashed you since the early days of your youth;
Labeled you a pauper and presented it as the truth?
Who said you were insignificant and gave you no hope;
And dared to leave you dangling at the end of your rope?
You were lied to, My friend, since the days of your childhood.
Now, you question the lies and accusations; as you should.
I formed you, indeed, as My perfect creation,
And destined you for greatness as part of My holy nation.
Many of you are “throwaways” who were treated like dirt
At the hands of fathers or mothers who inflicted much hurt.
But, I’m above the dirt, the hurt and all those raw deals.
I’ve come to lift you out of the mud; I am the God Who heals.
You’re a treasure your parent forgot to open, My dear prince;
And only through believing My Word will you be convinced
That you’re worth more than all the gold that I’ve created.
It’s time, child, that you forgive all those that you’ve hated.
It’s not about what happens to you, but what happens in you.
You are not a fateful product of your milieu,
But a product of how you respond to your surroundings.
I made your environment your training ground; your boxing ring.
Though this life is your boot camp, it is not your home.
You must overcome the role of a victim, lest you roam
Aimlessly through the wilderness, as did those before you;
Who died short of “the promise” and settled merely for a view.
I’ve made you awesome and you’re the glory that covers the earth.
You’ve been called to greatness, according to your spiritual birth.
You are a prince, not a pauper; the head and not the tail.
Rise above the ashes, dear one; you will succeed and not fail.
Let Me heal the little child in you, so I can sow new ground.
There is a king and priest in you waiting to abound.
I am calling you to rise up and shake the dust off your feet.
As a prince or princess I’ve called you to overcome defeat.
I am strengthening your spirit to go for the gold.
I’m doing a new work in you, which leaves no room for the old;
And besides creating you equal among all the races,
I took the liberty to seat you in heavenly places.
I have awakened you now to your new identity.
No longer will you live in impoverished extremity.
A beggar mentality does not equate with My name.
There’s no room for a pauper, my prince, in My Hall of Fame!
God bless you, my friends!

Overcoming Heartache!
Overcoming Brokenness!
Heartache is a part of our everyday lives. It is part of the human condition. In the same manner in which we experience happiness, peace and joy, we also will experience heartache, sadness, disappointment, loss of loved ones and broken relationships. We take the good with the bad, the happy with the sad experiences and times of jubilee as well as disappointment.
No one leaves this earth without having suffered loss. People will come in and out of lives. Some will stay longer than others. But there is a lesson to be learned from all who enter our lives. What have these people taught you? Have they taught you about unconditional love, the importance of laughter, the value of making a heart-to-heart connection rather than just existing in your head? Have they taught you about the significance of learning how to forgive others, including yourself?
Life is full of lessons and we must learn from everyone, if we are to grow into the person that God has called us to be? Growth, of course, is painful at times, especially when it involves learning more about ourselves. What have you learned about yourself? Have your loved ones told you that you are domineering, controlling, judgmental, insecure? Have they told you that you are rough around the edges, too opinionated or critical of others? You don’t really know how you come across to others until you ask someone who really knows you, “How do you see me and what areas do I need to work on?”
No man or woman is an island. You need others to help you take an honest look at yourself. It’s called, “taking inventory and being accountable.” Sometimes, this requires seeing a professional counselor or therapist, a pastor or mentor who possesses much wisdom in the area of relationships and healthy communication. But you have to be willing to humble yourself in order to grow.
No one ever arrives. In other words, no one ever experiences perfection on this side of eternity. We all have blinds spots and we can’t see them all. That’s why we need others who we can trust to lovingly point out those areas of darkness in us so we can acknowledge those areas. Then, we should take those areas of weakness before the Lord and ask Him to help us to die of our selfish ways daily so He can do a new work in us. Fortunately, the Apostle Paul encourages us in Philippians 1:6 when he declares, “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” We are a work in progress as we give our Master Builder permission daily to prune our rough edges so we can more accurately reflect His love in us to others.
It is reassuring to know that we are not in this race alone. The Lord sends us messengers often to help us along our way. Just remember not to turn those people away when you know they are a God-send. Sometimes, we have to humble ourselves in order to receive a word from the Lord. 1 Peter 5:6-7 reminds us, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
Be encouraged, my friends, and take one day at a time. Each day is a new day to learn more about yourself and others and to mature into the person that God has called you to be. You will suffer loss and heartache, but the Lord will always lift you up as you seek Him and receive the messengers that He sends your way to help mend your broken heart. You are called to finish the race with joy, not heartache, and the only way to do that is to draw from God’s strength so you face your burdens head on. And remember, you are not called to be an overcomer by yourself. Galatians 6:2 reminds us to, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Have a blessed day!

The True Making of a Champion: Building Strength and Character Through Adversity
Now Available Through Kindle
Introduction
What is the true making of a champion? What comes to mind in describing a winner in a society that highly values professional sports, athletic competition and a world that is in dire need of true role models? Would it be holding a coveted Super Bowl or World Series trophy? Would it be embracing a Most Valuable Player or a Cy Young Award? Would it be winning a Teacher of the Year award? How about a Volunteer of the Year Award?
Our society has all kinds of ideas of what constitutes a true champion. Professional athletes are revered for their athletic abilities. Businesspeople are esteemed for their extensive knowledge of products. Financial planners are respected for their knowledge of what life insurance has to offer. Stockbrokers are respected for their ability to help customers reap profits through stocks and bonds by knowing when to buy and sell in an unpredictable stock market. These people are considered successful by societal standards and are champions in their own right.
Who are some of these champions we admire who have reached the pinnacle of success? How about Bill Gates, Warren Buffet or Rupert Murdoch? How about super star professional athletes who are now successful businessmen such as Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Roger Staubach, John Elway or Nolan Ryan?
Perhaps you know other champions who have not quite reached this stature but are successful in their professional fields. They may have achieved success in real estate, business investments or network marketing. You may very well know them and be in awe of their accomplishments and their ability to make wise choices.
Are these truly champions we should revere? What is it about them that you are attracted to? Is it their ability to acquire wealth, their good looks, their reputations, fame or possessions that captures your attention? These people made many sacrifices to get to where they are today and understandably so. They were bold risk-takers and were not afraid to stand alone and follow their dreams when others criticized their innovative ideas.
What is the true making of a champion? Is it the underdog who overcomes a life of poverty and becomes college-educated, gains distinction in his profession and gives back to his community? Is it a victim of bullying who survives the blows he was dealt and goes on to inspire others who had similar experiences? Is it a victim of abuse who finds the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and discovers that her self-worth is really valuable?
Or is it someone who dedicates himself or herself to ministry so he or she can reach victims of sex trafficking, abuse, neglect, homelessness, unemployment or broken relationships? Or how about a woman raised in the projects who becomes a business executive and builds a community center for underprivileged youth as an alternative to gang affiliation?
In this book, I will take you on a path that will explore what is most meaningful in life. You are valuable and precious in Heaven’s eyes and you have little time to waste because you don’t know how much time you have left on this earth to follow the career or ministry path that you are destined to follow. We will look at principles that will help you explore what true success is all about while using pertinent illustrations to encourage you to become the champion that you are destined to become.
A champion’s heart belongs to anyone who is willing to wrestle against forces that dare to keep you from reaching your full potential. You are destined for greatness, my friend, and I encourage you now to read on so you can find out what helps people overcome misfortune with a proper mindset. Open your heart and mind so you can be molded into the champion that longs to be discovered. My prayer is that you will build strength and character through adversity through The True Making of a Champion.

Courage Among the Young!
Life is full of ups and downs. We all experience joyful as well as sad times and some people embrace more sorrowful times than others with amazing courage. But when a young person is faced with the inevitability of death, we mourn for them because we know they will never experience the fullness of their days. That young person will never know the joy of graduating from high school or college, getting married, having children or the opportunity to use their God-given talents with full measure to bless the world around them.
Such is the case with Athena Orchard, a 12 year-old who was afflicted with bone cancer at twelve years of age. She lived a year after her diagnosis, but in that year she showed amazing courage, lived life to the fullest, blessed others by sharing wisdom beyond her years, loved unconditionally and left this world with such grace and passion that she left those around her in awe of her indomitable spirit. Her courage was unwavering as she passed from life to death here on earth and from death to life on the other side of eternity into her loving Father’s arms.
She taught us about happiness and enjoying the journey and not just finding pleasure in finally arriving at one’s destination. In a beautiful letter that her father found after her passing, she stated, “Love is not about who you can see spending your future with; it’s about who you can’t see spending your life without.”
We need to treasure the insights of those who have lived a lifetime in just a short amount of time. We were blessed to be in their presence while they were with us. They served as our role models. We need to remember their courage, embrace it, and model it to those who desperately need it. Whether one is young or old, courage is a gift from God that we must seize when we are given the opportunity.
